Counseling:-

In this sickle cell clinic one social worker Mr Sanjib Rath do counseling to the patients and relatives regarding various sickle cell anemias.

Follow up:-

Patients are requested for follow-up in this center at specific interval. Patients who are not able to visit the clinic for follow-up are visited at their home.

Field activities:-

Although Sickle cell disease is very common in western Orissa large number of patients are unaware of this problem and poor . So they can not come to Sickle cell clinic. For this regularly we conduct Sickle cell health camp in remote area where we examine the patients in the field, collect blood sample for analysis and diagnosis at our center .We undertake health education in this camp through lecture and interactive session and distribution of pamphlets .We have conducted 4 health camps in the dist of Sambalpur and Bargarh the detail as follows.

Education:-

• Personal instruction and discussion with the patients and family at sicke cell clinic

• Distributation of pamphlet and literature to the patients and attendant at our center.

• Publicity through print media.

• Lecture and interactive session through health camp.
